Sorry didn’t get this to you sooner, worked all weekend and busy at home..
Here is a background about my brother in-law, Ive known him since he was 11
yrs old, so he’s more like a brother to me…Ive been sending this out to
all, Here is his short story….
Jimmy Sarkidis is the youngest of four in the family, Born
to Athanasia and Gus Sarkidis on February 15, 1980, at Pocono Medical
Center. His older brothers are Anthony and Dino, and sister Christina.
They all grew up at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church by the Lords way
through their mothers diligence on bringing them to Sunday school were
Jimmy once was an alter boy. Jimmy graduated from Pleasant Valley High
School, where he ambitiously worked hard with a roofing and siding
contractor, he eventually went on to save his money to acquire his own
roofing company, DJS Exteriors, he bought his own home at 23 years old,
and then opened his own automotive service garage after his first fight
with cancer. Jimmy lives and is well loved by his fiance Morgan, along
with his 4 kids (actually dogs) 3 weimaraner and a Great Dane in
Kunkletown, Pa. He supports his community with donations and sponsoring
the local soccer leagues for kids. He never dreamed this would happen to him.
Jimmy became engrossed with pain one day, and after a series of hard,
painful test was told by doctors, what we all would dread the most, “You
have Cancer” Jimmy was diagnosed with a form of blood cancer called
Leukemia, There are many different types of this disease, and he has the
worst form called ALL, Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
He underwent a Bone marrow transplant from his older brother Anthony,
which gave Jimmy an extra 2 yrs of life till the cancer came back again,
this time we are unable to use Anthony, the doctors said he was to perfect
of a match. This is where we need your help, Jimmy had gone thru his
second round of chemotherapy and now needs another donor.
So were calling out to our families, friends and the community for their
most gracious help. If you’re unable to do so for medical reasons, we
just ask that you all may keep Demitrios in your prayers.
Were having a Bone Marrow Donor Drive at the church on? Sunday?December
18th 2011,? from 12 NOON – 4:00 pm, we encourage you to come and donate a
swab, were offering refreshments and food for your kindness.
Thanks again and God Bless You all and your Families!!
If there is anyway you can extend this information to your community, I
would be so grateful!!
Thank you so much Nelly your an Angel, May God forever bless you!!!
